Why can't I find my bill provider?

What does my account number look like?

Your bill account number is generated by the provider for their billing purposes and identifies your account with that provider. Different billers place the account number in different places; in some cases, you'll see your account number right before your account name. Learn More.

Where can I find my bill account number?

The bill account number should be on the bill, statement, or invoice you receive from the company you want to pay. If you can’t find your account number, please reach out to your provider for assistance.

How do I change my @username?

When you signed up you got a unique @username assigned to you based on your full name.
You can change it to something else, but only once, and only before you started sending or receiving money, to ensure users establish a trusted identity on Lynk.
To change your @username, find the "Change Username" card on the home screen of the app, or go to your User Profile and change it in the "Personal Info" section.

Why do I need to do a video to sign up for Lynk?

We ask you to take a video selfie so we can compare it to the ID you choose to use for your verification. Video allows us to verify your identity and is another method that we have in place to further help us to safeguard you and your funds from potential fraudulent activity.

Yes! All Lynk users will be automatically put in line to be one of the first 100,000 users of a digital wallet and therefore be eligible for the Jam-Dex $2,500 incentive.

How can I use my Jam-Dex dollars?

Similar to your regular Lynk wallet with JMD, you will also be able to transfer or spend your Jam-Dex dollars once deposited by the BoJ. To make a Jam-Dex transaction, both parties need to have Jam-Dex accounts.

When can I have my Jam-Dex wallet?

As of April 1st, the first 100,000 fully onboarded Lynk users benefit from the Jam-Dex $2500 incentive offer by the G0J, however, users won’t see the Jam-Dex account in their Lynk wallet until May. At this point, users will see their Jamaica dollar balance and their Jam-Dex $2500balance in the app.

What is CBDC?

CBDC stands for Central Bank Digital Currency and is money issued by BoJ in digital form. CBDC is not a cryptocurrency asCBDC is issued and regulated by the BoJ, whereas cryptocurrency is privately issued and not backed or regulated by a central authority such as a central bank. Jamaica’s CBDC is called Jamaica Digital Exchange (Jam-Dex).

How does the platform differ for regular Lynkies and for Merchants?

The app in its current form is primarily for consumers but small businesses who do not have a business bank account can also benefit from the app and start accepting cashless transactions. We are however working on an app specifically for merchants that will be packed with a feature filled merchant portal that will include several reports to help manage their business.
